When you hear Dubai, you immediately associate it with the tallest building in the world, the artificial palm island, the 7 starts hotel and the largest shopping malls. It is not my first time in Dubai but this city never ceases to impress me! The transformation from a pure desert to the land of extravagant & glitz is simply fascinating.
Only 4 days in Dubai was quite hectic, but we tried to see as much as we can and experience above skyscrapers.
Minaa A’ Salam: Our first stay was at Minaa A’ Salam meaning "Harbour of peace" in Arabic , a 5 stars resort located in Jumeirah. The resort has indoor and outdoor pool, a private beach, an award winning spa, more than 20 restaurants located around and many more facilities just to mention a few. The service is on top and it’s a perfect place for family, couples or friends traveling together for a relaxing type holiday.
Kempinski: Our second stay was at Kempinski hotel in the Emirates Mall. Although it is a 5 stars hotel as well, it actually was very disappointed especially for people going to Dubai for holidays. The hotel is purely targeted to business purposes and all facilities are shaped around business travellers, which doesn’t give it any charm when staying there for leisure. Although the hotel has an ideal location for shopping, I wouldnt choose it again if I'm going on "beach" holidays.
There are unlimited options of restaurants in Dubai serving every national cuisine from around the world. There is an option for every taste, but it also makes it very difficult to choose.
Café rouge: Great French cuisine located in Souk Madinat Jumeirah. The ambiance is very nice and relaxed and the food is absolutely delicious!
Khaymat Al bahar: Discover Lebanon’s rich cuisine, while overlooking the beachfront and gorgeous surroundings. This place is lively but still casual, and during the evenings they offer live entertainment.
Tashas: It has a very nice vintage vibe and organic food, what better can you ask for? The menu is excellent and dessert is a must!
Barasti: is a beach club that has been recommended by many. In my opinion if you are looking to watch sports, or listen to music while bathing in the sea then it's the perfect place. If you are looking for quality food, then I wouldn't recommend it. take into consideration that the place is filled with expats, so there is no local vibe to it.
Shades: is located at the address hotel in Dubai Marina. It's the perfect chill out lounge for dinner, drinks or shisha, while overlooking the infinity pool and fascinating skyline. This place is definitely in my top favourites.
Eden Beach Club: If you are looking for an exclusive beach club then this is the place! A great place to spend the day or evening depending on the atmosphere that you are looking for. There are plenty of activities and entertainment, as well as space to relax and sip a nice cocktail by the pool. Let the picture speak for itself.
Stay tuned for more tips about Dubai.. :)
